Monday 17th May 2010
Leading digital payments provider Chapter Eight , has announced it's cash control and online collections product, Open Payment System (OPS) is now PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) Level 1 compliant.
The PCI DSS, a set of comprehensive requirements for enhancing payment account data security, was developed by the founding payment brands of the PCI Security Standards Council, including MasterCard and Visa, to help improve card security at an industry level. OPS has spent the last nine months undergoing an independent audit to attain this certification and are now one of only a handful of ecommerce providers globally to achieve this.
Managing director, Mario Thomas, comments: “All our ecommerce clients benefit from this certification and are safe in the knowledge that payments processed on their websites are protected to the highest standard. This now includes our OPS system which gives corporate clients the ability to process debit, credit and corporate purchasing card payments in a fully PCI DSS Level 1 compliant environment. With the recent addition of card type identification, country of issue identification and recurring payments, OPS really does answer all of the requirements of any credit control department.”
Mario added: “ Online security has always been integral to our business which is why payments by credit, debit and corporate purchasing cards are processed using the latest SSL 3 encryption technology, as well as offering 3D Secure as standard. Also included are advanced fraud detection tools including Triplic8TM – our three-pronged fraud detection and mitigation tools.”
OPS is used by clients in many different industries, making it easy for them to collect payments from their customers. It specialises in enabling businesses to improve cash flow using the latest digital payments technology, reducing the processing costs of cash collection and improving the financial analysis of credit and debit card payments with real-time reporting modules.
