3D Secure
Payments made using OPS are processed using high-level security measures. The latest tool in the fight against charge backs is 3D Secure. This is also known as Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode.
OPS processes all debtor payments by credit or debit card through the 3D secure system – ensuring that you're indemnified against any charge backs that may be claimed by the card holder. Furthermore, by using 3D secure – all transactions – even those made with non-3D secure enrolled cards are also indemnified against charge backs.
Minimise Online Credit & Debit card fraud
In addition to 3D Secure, OPS also provides you with its very own 'fraud rating'. It takes into consideration the number of times the transaction was attempted, the address of the registered card holder, the country from which the transaction originated and responses received from the banks to give you a guide to the quality of the transaction.
Encrypted Transactions
OPS uses the latest 256-bit SSL 3 Extended Verification (EV) certificates to encrypt all debtor details that are transmitted to you from it.
OPS doesn't just encrypt credit card data – it also encrypted transaction data such as the address and account information of the debtor – ensuring that your debtors trust making the payment to you online.
Furthermore, OPS doesn't store credit or debit card details once a transaction has been processed – data is sent directly to the banks and a unique reference is returned allowing us to identify who made the transaction – so no nightmare stories about data going missing on laptops or being stolen and allowing fraudulent transactions to be processed.
Disaster Recovery/Continuous Operations
Our system is installed and hosted at an efficient data centre with load balancing technology and no single point of failure. This ensures that in the event of a disaster, your data and the OPS service remains available at all times.
Backups
OPS makes live backups of all transactions and data that is stored in it. This data is geographically dispersed so in the very unlikely event of a total and catastrophic failure in the OPS data centre, the service can be transferred seamlessly to our backup facilities and be up and running in minutes without the loss of data.
